Saw some old bloke in the street playing Elton John songs on the piano. It could have been Elton, except this guy had hair...

Walking toward portobello road my friends and I heard someone playing some jolly old tunes on the piano. We had heard about the pianos around london scheme and decided to go and have a listen. After listening for a while, we got into conversation with the pianist. She told us that she couldn't have a piano at home and it was so lovely to be able to come out and play in public for a change! On the way home from shopping in portobello road, we saw the piano again. A man was playing a jazz tune and a man just started to dance with my friend lucia. Afterwards, I summoned up the courage, egged on by my friends, and played the piano. It was such an amazing experience, just to be a part of a scheme like this. Today we went to Carnaby Street and saw the piano there. I played it as well and it felt really good to know that other people were just enjoying my playing. There was a note on the piano, and an address encouraging everyone who saw it to write to this person and share the love! It's an amazing scheme and I think it's uniting the capital through music! Now yesterday lunchtime this one was in fine fettle and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it.
The challenge for some is normally the black notes. This one was a particular challenge as some of the white notes had been painted black as part of the artwork. fantastic. A bit like playing in the dark, in broad daylight wearing sunglasses.

Great project. Bring it to Manchester.
