Decked out in their shiniest pearl buttons, the Pearlies will sing a 20 minute set of London songs around the Cockney themed Joanna, including “Barrow Boy”. So after you’ve listened to the Ivory Pearl, Chloe Coggin, stay while the Pearlies pour out their jam tarts! Then have a cup of Rosie Lee on the Piazza. Donations will go to one of their charities.

The City of London Festival and LSO Discovery join forces as five members of the London Symphony Orchestra, including John Alley, the Orchestra’s Principal Keyboard, play at Liverpool Street Station. For three weeks over summer, pianos will be dotted around the City, providing an extraordinary open air opportunity for impromptu recitals, sing-alongs or a quiet tickling of the ‘ivories’ on the way home from work or school. Everyone will have the keys to the City! Celebrate by bringing your voices to a City of London walk that features both religious and secular historical sites and songs that relate to them.
