I think the Middlesex Street Estate piano has a lovely tone. There seems to be an anxiety about it being here, but I think it is lovely that youngsters have an opportunity to play it. It is on my way to work from the station, and I intend to play it again another morning.

Day 3, Piano #8.
My friends and I got here last night to find a bunch of kids mucking around. Eventually they let us have a go, and I picked something out of the songbook – Locomotion!

The piano is only supposed to be open from 8am – 6pm, for the convenience of the residents. We were ‘lucky’, in that despite getting there at 8:30pm, someone had taken the lock off the piano, so we got to play.

Beware to anyone who wants to get here – observe the times!
