It's flat-out gorgous outside, though. DJ Beautiful piano, but sound wise, lots of rattle, wear and tear.

I asked my friend Chris do grab a flip video camera and come with me so I could play some piano improv on our lunch. Always a good reminder to be a kid and play. :) If you enjoy the piano improv, check out additional art work at http://www.digitallush.com ! <!-- video_comment_id: 89 --> Was my last day on co-op for a local design agency, LPK. I did indeed liberate a folding chair from my office many, many blocks away, and my husband gamely carried it for me. This one is still by far one of my favorite paint jobs, but there were a LOT of kids milling around and randomly banging on it as they passed by to catch their legions of buses. This one is going to get destroyed at this location, I fear. Which is a shame because this one was one of the better instruments to start with. The kids did give me my shot at playing, and they were probably the biggest audience I've had. It was hard to get a picture that didn't have lots of kid faces in it (we didn't want to upset any parents or anything) but this shot is great because I see things on the piano I had never noticed while I was playing it the past couple of weeks at the library. This piano marks the number 40 milestone. It was way too hot to trek down to the Coffee Emporium, but I should make that later this week. <!-- image_comment_id: 632 --> I got off work about 3:30, which, in retrospect, was probably not the best time to play this one. We'll try to get it reattached tomorrow for your sitting pleasure. Applause to those jamming while standing! I'm hitting this one later today, and I just liberated a folding chair from my office for the same purpose. Thanks for the suggestion. If you should see this: which one are you going to play last? Looks like mine will be at Xavier later this week. I'm at 39 now and will get two this afternoon downtown. You Rock, Jeremy! This one used to be outside the Main branch of the Public Library. Fortunately, I read the previous posts regarding the pilfering of the piano bench...I brought my own chair! Scouts taught me one thing at least, outside of building a pinewood derby car...be prepared! <!-- image_comment_id: 627 --> Forty first location (one to go!!!)- The School for the Creative and Performing Arts. I do it all the time. I think this is the one that was at the library. It's just gorgeous, paint- wise, but it's taken some wear. Still it's really a cool piano... Pretty lowlife that the bench was stolen, but not the only thievery going on downtown. The doubled rates at the parking meters had me "doubling" from piano to piano. A dime for 3 minutes: that reminds me of the old juke-box, but, of course you got to sit back and listen back then; you didn't have to do the playing yourself. I reckon if this piano were put at Newport on the Levee it's bench mightn't have been stolen, and our friends in KY would certainly have made fine use of it. Check it out.
