It was so nice to have it nearby for a while, at least. Played 3 Bruckner motets, the Redemption music from the Ring, a bit of the end of the 1st Act of Die Meistersinger, and an extract from the 1st movement of the Symphony #3 in D (Wagner Symphony) by Anton Bruckner. Thanks to all that made this possible!! I'll miss it.... DJ Played this one yesterday one last time.

I feel that some pianos, especially ones that are in a suitable environment like this one, should not be moved. In only a few weeks, Play Me, I'm Yours has done much to inspire others to pursue musical knowledge. This event could touch many more if it lasted longer. I just wish there were some way to ensure that something like this happens again in the future. Are all the pianos going to art centers, or will some remain in public? This piano used to be the one located at Union Centre in West Chester. Man, due to the spaciousness of the mall, this piano sounded GREAT. A large, appreciative crowd gathered eventually. <!-- image_comment_id: 610 --> Thirty seventh location- Northgate Mall. This piano used to be the one located at Union Centre in West Chester. This one was the one out a Union Centre, and boy, does it sound better in here! It's such a beautiful instrument, too. I didn't know "Packard" made pianos, but I don't much about them anyway; I just play them. I'm happy it's going to be better protected from the elements and get so much well deserved attention from passers-by. It's just a shame it's so far out of my way coming from Northern Kentucky. <!-- image_comment_id: 603 --> Played this one today as part of the Northwest Side Road Trip up to Oxford. It became part of our family is Seattle, Washington 35 years ago but where it started its life we do not know. You may wonder about that gnawed looking corner on the front above the keyboard - it was done by a mouse! It might have been trying to get closer to the music or figure out a way to open the piano to play. Play away... It's there! It's the Chicago Packard, and it'll sound better after it settles in and gets a tuning. It's inside the mall (fortunately or unfortunately), : Enter from the North entrance and take a left at the fork. The piano is down the way in between some (Voss, Kay, Guess, etc. )Jewelry stores and a host of other merchants. Inside it's gonna get a little more good life and sound, but advertising could take it's toll. I must admit I enjoy the pianos most with 24/7 access, and this one is bound to be locked up when the mall is closed, so that's a shame. This piano booms out so well that you can easily drown out the usual aural patter. And if there's ever a quiet moment the reverb in this mall makes it sound quite asounding. Like hearing something played at the Basilica, Rosary Cathedral, etc. Everyone enjoy it, take care of it, and don't be shy; after all, it's YOURS! DJ It’s there! It’s there!
