  1. I came early in the morning on my day off for a fishing expedition.
The traffic was a bit noisy, and a few joggers were about, but the splish-splash of the fountain gives things a relaxed energy.

The piano was dry, but the bench was wet. It had a plastic cover and a bit of a back rest, which was unique.
The morning dew had dried the piano proper, and it IS a Steinway.

Had better times, but you can just feel the quality of the workings in the action. Seems to have some kind of resonator box on top; I wanted to look inside, but it was shut.

It was nice and early, and folks scurrying about their business, I really enjoyed knowing I could play ad lib and then get to fishing when I was done.

Even wet, I like this piano!

  4. Twelfth stop- Mariemont Square. This was the final stop during this day, five locations total. Imagine my surpise when I realized this old upright was a Steinway! Unfortunately, the sound wasn't as resonant as I had hoped, but it wasn't too bad. I played here for well over an hour to a very appreciative crowd. When we arrived, there was one couple on a bench. After I played a couple of pieces, I turned around, and the entire area was filled with people watching and enjoying the music. I love when that happens! Of course, we ate some Graeter's ice cream to top it off...
