Best piano of the lot; condition-wise. I mean, it's pretty much studio grade. I had a blast playing, but, once again, the modern American advertising juggernaught had a speaker blaring the music/commercials right above the piano. When the game got into a 'TV time out' the commercials got LOUDER. I enjoyed playing, though. this one would be great for rain delays. I did walk down and try to get in during the day, but nobody was able to accomodate us at the Reds office, so I made the game. Nice outing. it was bark at the park, but the dogs were all very well behaved... DJ Played this one at the game day before yesterday. Best piano of the lot; condition-wise. Then I learned that my long-time student, Jane, played on a couple of them without me even telling her or her family about it! Anyways, this is the only photo I have of any one of my students playing on the pianos. I believe she told me she was playing some ragtime (but of course). <!-- image_comment_id: 655 --> I told all of my students about the “Play Me I’m Yours” event, but only a handful of them went out to perform on the pianos. This one was special to me because my Dad was here, and we got to play some duets that we used to play together when I was a small child. This evening brought us closer together, I believe, and we had a wonderful time (not to mention the Reds killed the Cubs!). Below is a video of my Dad and I performing Henry Mancini's theme from the old "Peter Gunn" television series. We used to play this together when I was just a little kid. When we were sitting at the piano this evening, I suggested that we perform this number "for old time's sake." As you can tell, we immensely enjoyed ourselves. It meant a lot to me, and I'm pretty sure it meant a lot to him. I love my Dad. <!-- image_comment_id: 613 --> <!-- video_comment_id: 85 --> Thirty sixth location visited, and the FINAL one of the original thirty five locations- Great American Ballpark. When this event started, he exclaimed, "the ballpark piano is mine!" (Probably because he has a part-time job at the stadium.) In the video, he was finishing playing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" at the beginning, and he then sort of segues into a brief thematic summary of Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue." He was looking forward to playing this piano for a while! <!-- image_comment_id: 612 --> <!-- video_comment_id: 84 --> This is my Dad, Dave Stevenson, playing the “Play Me I’m Yours” piano at Great American Ballpark, home of the Cincinnati Reds. They were letting Isabelle in anyway, and I had called a couple of times, so Craig Warman called me back and said if I could get there that day during the lunch hour, I could have a few minutes. The piano was lovely, and so was the space. I'm only sorry I didn't have time to stay and watch Isabelle make history. Congratulations to her, and to whoever drove her all over the world finding these pianos to play. <!-- image_comment_id: 590 --> I have to thank both Isabelle and Craig Warman of the Cincinnati Reds for the fact that I was able to play this one. It could be any of the pianos or let her choose her favorite. That would be great. Congratulations Isabelle for that great acomplishment.
