I loved having the street pianos around Austin! It was so beautiful to hear spontaneous piano music being played live outdoors. The pianos created such a special experience, fostering a sense of community and inspiration and making everyone smile. My band and I stopped by City Hall Plaza to record this song one Sunday in April.

I decided to take the day off and head to the Austin Children’s Museum with my three year old sons. We parked at City Hall and as we headed towards 2nd street, it was there on the steps waiting for us. My boys just loved it and had a wonderful time!

“Play Me, I’m Yours.” Austin, TX. April 23, 2011. Saturday. City Hall Plaza.

We saw the 2nd piano after being in the top hill and we decided to go to the Austin City Hall. After I was playing the piano, these two old couple showed up and played right after us. I asked them if I can take a video and pictures and they agreed to. After the old lady was done playing, we had a little conversation and asked us if we have been in the other pianos. We said only one. They helped us locate some of the pianos all around downtown Austin. They were such a cute couple.
